Who We Are

ErgoChairs.in is an ergonomic chair recommendation platform for the Indian market, operated as a personal project. Contact: ergnometry@gmail.com.

Data We Collect

ErgoChairs.in is a static website. We do not require accounts, logins, or personal information to use the site.

We collect anonymous usage data through:

• Self-hosted first-party analytics - Collects page requests, referral host, coarse device type, affiliate redirect counts, and a small set of same-origin interaction events such as compare actions, filter usage, and fit-calculator submissions.
• Google Analytics (GA4) - Temporarily runs in parallel during the analytics migration for baseline comparison. It collects anonymized page views, referral sources, device type, and general geographic region. You can opt out using browser extensions like Google Analytics Opt-out.

Cookies

We set one first-party anonymous session cookie (ec_sid) for analytics session grouping and affiliate redirect attribution. Google Analytics may set third-party cookies during the migration period. Amazon.in may set cookies when you click affiliate links.

Affiliate Links

Product links on this site may pass through our first-party redirect endpoint before taking you to Amazon.in. This lets us count which pages and placements drive outbound clicks without relying only on third-party scripts. Amazon.in may collect data according to their own privacy policy. We receive only aggregate commission reports - we never see individual purchase details or personal information.

Local Storage

Some features (like the chair fit calculator) may store preferences in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared through your browser settings.
